Let us design and build your WaterGarden!

Nature’s WaterGarden Center focus is to work with nature. We offer a natural healthy yard you can relax in and feel good about. Enjoy a yard that you children and pets can roll in and not be exposed to chemicals. Or when you walk into your home you don’t have to wonder if you brought the pesticides in with you.

Our ponds offer an ecosystem that does not use chemicals or ultraviolet light. It is the combination of plants, fish, river stone, natural bacteria, and a biological filtration system that keeps the water beautifully clear. In fact it takes less time to maintain your pond than a lawn of equal size.

By building a pond you will attract frogs, dragonflies, salamanders, birds and butterflies. And because ponds are constantly moving you will not attract mosquitoes; in fact dragonfly larvae, frogs and fish eat mosquito’s larvae.

If you plan to have a lawn around your pond my hope is that it is a pesticide free one. As a NOFA accredited Organic Land Care Professional I am available for organic lawn consultation. Instead of dumping fertilizers and pesticides onto you lawn, stop to determine what it is that you lawn really needs.
Start by testing the soil. You may find out that you are dumping limestone every year on a lawn that doesn’t need it. Or that you have spray pesticides using a prescribed schedule to the point that your soil is void of beneficial organisms. Most homeowners are now at the point where they keep feeding their turf to make it green instead of building their soil to support their lawns to become green.

Think of other alternatives like rock gardens, flower beds or native plants that need less attention. Rain gardens and rain barrels are a way to recycle water so that the water just doesn’t run back into our lakes and ponds carrying pesticides and debris with it.

I can help you have a yard you can feel good about.
